Welcome to the Findlay Flying Circuits!
The Findlay Flying Circuits was founded in 1973 by a group of model aviation enthusiasts with the goal of promoting R/C modeling in Hancock Co, Ohio. We are an AMA chartered club of about 50 members, many of whom are active all year round.
The club field is located just north of Findlay on CR 18 and has a well maintained 400ft grass runway. Our club hosts monthly meetings at the field on the first Saturday of every month at 10am. When the weather turns cold, we move our meetings indoors as well as most of our flying. The public is welcome to attend any of our meetings or events. Just check our events calendar for times and dates.
An AMA membership is required to fly at our field as well as to join our club. The AMA membership provides the insurance coverage needed under the by-laws of the AMA and our club. Visiting members from other clubs are welcome as long as they are with an FFC club member and have a current AMA Membership. Guest who want to learn to fly, or are learning to fly with their own equipment, may utilize our field as long as they are with a FFC club member. Flying guests are limited to three visits before they will be asked to join the club.
Our field is active thoughout the flying season. Along with our club meetings, we normally fly on the weekends and Wednesday evenings. We have numerous events that we host, including fun flys, combat flys, and one or two bigger events during the year. Our main event is usually hosted in August and is a large open fly event that benefits the Pierce’s Crew Foundation, a local charity that we have supported for years. We usually close the season out with a Chilly Chili fun fly and chili cook off.
