If you are reading this page, then you are like this young man searching for information on how to get into hobby of flying remote control aircraft. Maybe you have pondered it over the years, but have always thought it too difficult; or too expensive, or too time consuming. Maybe there was never anyone around you who could mentor you and provide that guaranteed, successful outcome you are seeking.
If it is any of the reasons above, or any other reason for that matter, you have come to the right club! Welcome to the Findlay Flying Circuits family!
It’s all about mentorship…
There has never been a better time to get into the hobby! Technological advancements in all areas of the hobby have allowed new hobbyists to be successful right out of the gate. All that is needed is someone to guide you in the right direction!
If you just want to start by getting a taste of what it is like to fly an RC plane, you can utilize our club trainer aircraft to get those first flew flights with one of our members. Utilizing a buddy box system, both you and the club pilot will have control over the aircraft, so you can enjoy the experience and gain the knowledge without the risk!
Experience the joy!
Young or old, once you have experienced the joy of flight, we are certain you will want to continue on your journey. There are many options; enjoy the build with dollar tree foam board, hot glue, and basic electronics to get you into the hobby very inexpensively. Fully ready to fly aircraft, just like our club trainer, are also available from hobby distributors around the globe for just a few hundred dollars. If money is tight, our club members also have, when available, used equipment at a very low cost. Today, PC Simulators are a great way to learn some of the basics without risking your aircraft.
Down the road…..
Once you are past the initial training and feel confident in your basic abilities, it will be time to decide what is next! There are options for scale models, warbirds, 3D/Acro, sailplanes, EDF jets, and even actual kerosene burning turbines! Maybe a plane isn’t where you want to go next? We have members that also fly helicopters and FPV drones as well!
Our members build, own, and fly all of the types listed above. AND they fly them right out at our Findlay Flying Circuits field here in Findlay, Ohio. Rest assured that we have the members and knowledge to help you navigate your RC future. Don’t be like this guy who didn’t seek help.
